Meredith Gaudreau reveals heartbreaking struggles as hockey season approaches
The passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau has taken the hockey world by surprise and everyone who knew them or of them, is in mourning.
It has been particularly difficult on their family,
and especially the wives of Johnny and Matthew. Johnny's wife Meredith has been especially forthcoming about the struggles she has faced. It is going to be a long process before she begins to feel like normal again. What makes it more difficult is her two kids and third child that is on the way.
Meredith recently took to Instagram where she acknowledged that Johnny's passing is affecting her as the hockey season begins. This is mainly because her daughter Noa used to love cheering on her dad. As Noa's second birthday approaches, Meredith cannot help but feel sadness.
"I've been having a hard time as Noa's 2nd birthday approaches. She loves watching videos of daddy before bed especially her requests for «daddy hockey» which led me to these videos. She loves watching him play and cheering for him through the screen. His biggest fan. They loved each other so much. She even has the same freckle as him on her right cheek. And as she approaches turning 2 I have been told their personalities are getting to be more and more similar and I can't wait for that to continue"
We wish the Gaudreau family nothing but the best moving forward. We cannot imagine what they must be going through right now. Having said that, it has been great to see the hockey world come together through all of it.
