Katie Gaudreau breaks her silence on the deaths of Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau
Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau passed away on Thursday after getting hit by a drunk driver while riding their bicycles.
The two brothers were in Salem, New Jersey which is their hometown. They were there to celebrate their sister Katie's wedding, which was set to take place over the weekend. However, following the tragic death of the brothers, the wedding was postponed. Since that time, many have been wondering how Katie is doing through all of this. After all, she was on an emotional high all week, only to be met with an emotional low in an instance.
Moments ago, Katie took to Instagram for the first time since her brothers passed away. Below, you will find a heartbreaking message in which Katie reveals just how special all of her brothers were. It is one of those captions that will most definitely make you shed a tear or two.
"To know these two was to love these two. There are absolutely no words I have to express the bond my family shared. The entire world knows there would never have been a John without Matty or Matty without John. The absolute best big brothers a little girl could have asked for. This will never be a goodbye post because I will never stop saying your names and honoring you both. I'll take the best care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mer, Madeline, and your babies."
Throughout this tragedy, our heart goes out to the Gaudreau family who are going through a nightmare. We hope and pray they get support from their community during this devastating time.
