James Van Riemsdyk is an NHL veteran who has played for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Boston Bruins.

Throughout the summer, he has been looking for a new contract, however, he hasn't been able to secure one. It was reported previously that Van Riemsdyk had signed a PTO with the Seattle Kraken. In the end, it seems like Van Riemsdyk has gone in an entirely different direction.

According to Elliotte Friedman, Van Riemsdyk has signed a one-year deal worth $900K with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Now, the team will get some nice depth and an experienced veteran who can help the locker room thrive.

Riemsdyk has played just over 1000 games in his NHL career. Furthermore, he has 311 goals which makes him someone who can still produce at a high level. Last season with the Boston Bruins, he had a total of 38 points and 17 goals. Needless to say, he isn't a bad player and can definitely make an impact.
