The 2024 NHL All-Star Jerseys have stirred up quite a storm from the get-go. Fans expressed their discontent when the NHL initially unveiled the design, and a recent leak is only adding fuel to the fire.

The available glimpse of the 2024 All-Star Jerseys seems less than stellar, with some comparing the design to something straight out of the original Power Rangers costume department. The Florida Panthers unintentionally gave a closer look by listing jerseys for Bobrovsky and Sam Reinhart on their website, revealing the font and name placement. The reaction from fans is less than positive.

"no, no, no.

DO NOT TELL ME THE NAMES ARE LOWERCASE FONT.

It looks like they were made in Microsoft Word."

Adding insult to injury is the hefty price tag: $290 USD. Many are questioning why anyone would willingly opt for these jerseys. The font choice is drawing comparisons to something you'd expect from a Lego hockey team, not the NHL. It gives off a Disney/McDonald's vibe, which might be suitable for them but feels out of place in this context.

Despite the uproar over the jerseys, the NHL has promised a revamped Skills Competition at the 2024 All-Star Weekend based on fan feedback. Unfortunately, fans didn't get a chance to voice their opinions on the jerseys before purchasing. If the font and placement seen on the Panthers' website turn out to be the real deal, it's undoubtedly a big swing and a miss for the NHL.
