Pittsburgh Penguins Place Unexpected Forward On Waivers
After a quiet spell on the waiver wire, the Pittsburgh Penguins have made a move, opting to send a forward to the AHL.
As per hris Johnston from TSN, the Penguins have waived 27-year-old forward Radim Zohorna.
"Placed on NHL waivers today: Radim Zohorna (PIT)."
Originally hailing from Havlickuv, Czechia, Zohorna spent two seasons with the Penguins after transitioning from Europe. He later had stints with Toronto and Calgary before returning to the Penguins last summer.
In the current season, he's notched seven points (four goals, three assists), accumulated 16 penalty minutes, and holds an even-rating in 31 games.
