The Winnipeg Jets Place 24-Year Old Defenceman On Waivers
The Winnipeg Jets have taken a move to shape their roster, placing 24-year-old defenseman Declan Chisholm on waivers with the intention of assigning him to the AHL.
"Placed on NHL waivers today: Declan Chisholm (WPG)," reported TSN's Chris Johnston.
Despite his Bowmanville roots, Chisholm's presence on the NHL ice has been limited this season, with just two games for the Winnipeg Jets. In the AHL, he showcased his skills over six games with the Manitoba Moose, contributing five assists.
This strategic move by the Jets could offer Chisholm more playing time and development opportunities in the AHL, allowing him to further hone his skills before potentially making a return to the NHL stage.
As the waiver process unfolds, Chisholm's journey will be closely watched by fans and hockey enthusiasts alike.
