Boudreau Recalls Near Miss with a Risky Decision During Canucks Stint

Since parting ways with the Vancouver Canucks, ex-NHL head coach Bruce Boudreau has worn many hats. During a recent appearance on the NHL Network, he recounted a remarkable incident involving a decision he almost had to make during his time with the Canucks.

According to Boudreau, there was an attempt within the Canucks organization to persuade him to shift superstar defenseman Quinn Hughes to center.

"Somebody in that Vancouver organization tried to make me make Quinn Hughes a center last year.

Bruce Boudreau dropped a BOMB."

Thankfully, Boudreau resisted that suggestion, and the Vancouver Canucks are reaping the benefits. Hughes is currently having a standout season, showcasing Norris Trophy-worthy performance. Meanwhile, Boudreau is sharing these intriguing stories on the NHL Network while also coaching alongside his son in the OHL for the Niagara IceDogs.
