Interestingly enough, their playoff journey will be a huge storyline in the new Amazon Prime docuseries dropping on October 4th, called "Faceoff: Inside the NHL." Overall, the new docuseries should be a whole lot of fun. As it turns out, Nylander was one of the first big stars to agree to the series. He knew it would be a success and he was interested in being a major part of its success.
Thankfully, Nylander's inclusion in the series is now giving us closure on an infamous incident that happened between Nylander and Marner during the playoffs. There were reports and rumors that Nylander had called Marner a baby on the bench and was telling him to stop crying.
Now, we actually have footage of the incident. However, it is not nearly as bad as some people let on. Instead, Nylander was clearly frustrated and hated seeing his teammate give up. However, it is easy to see how one might feel as though Nylander was just berating his teammate.
Now, it will be interesting to see if the Maple Leafs can pull it together this season. Fans want a Stanley Cup, and they are not going to settle for anything less. Only time will tell if the pressure will make them crack all over again.
