Max Pacioretty has become a bit of a journeyman over the past few years with stops in Las Vegas, Carolina, and even Washington.

However, during this time, he has also been hit with quite a few injuries. This has ultimately left fans worried that his career is not for that much longer. However, it would appear as though things are looking up for Pacioretty right about now. We say that because Pacioretty was signed to a PTO by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Throughout the preseason, Pacioretty was pretty solid. He scored a few goals and looked like he still had a lot of gas in the tank. This was obviously very fun to watch for Leafs fans, and they all felt like it was pretty obvious that Pacioretty would get a contract with the team. Now, Leafs reporter Nick Alberga is confirming as such.

The Leafs have been making a ton of cuts, and some fans have been nervous about whether or not Pacioretty would be one of them. However, his experience will be valuable for this roster. It is a team that has struggled in the postseason, and having more veterans in the locker room will help the guys keep a level head.

Hopefully, Pacioretty is able to have a season to remember. It remains to be seen how much longer he has in the NHL, and we're sure he understands this very well. Needless to say, Pacioretty will be looking to make this a season to remember. A Stanley Cup would definitely go a long way.
