Maple Leafs Make Roster Adjustments Before Divisional Showdown
The Toronto Maple Leafs are gearing up to extend their winning streak following Wednesday night's thrilling 5-4 victory against the Dallas Stars as they prepare to face off against the struggling Ottawa Senators in a divisional showdown.
Max Lajoie from their American League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
Originally drafted by the Senators in 2016, Lajoie was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in January 2021. After spending three years with the Hurricanes, he signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Leafs last summer.
Lajoie has tallied seven goals and eight assists in 70 NHL games and has contributed two goals and 15 assists in 31 games with the Marlies this season. His call-up adds depth to the Leafs' defensive lineup as they aim to continue their winning ways against the Senators.
