Arber Xhekaj sends ominous warning to Jacob Trouba

Arber Xhekaj was watching on TV last night as the Montreal Canadiens took on the New York Rangers in a game wear Jacob Trouba absolutely demolished Justin Barron.

In the clip down below, you can see the massive hit. Trouba lined Barron up and went right into his chest with his elbow. There was no punishment for the hot. In fact, the Department of Player Safety was adamant that this was not worthy of a fine or any kind of suspension.

Having said that, a lot of fans were disappointed in the fact that Xhekaj was not in the lineup for this match. He is a player who likes to fight and he certainly would have given Trouba a piece of his mind had he been in the lineup. Well, while speaking to the media today, Xhekaj expressed regret over being a healthy scratch. As fans would have predicted, he had a warning for Trouba about those kinds of hits and what the next matchup will be like.

"To throw a hit like that, I didn't like to see it and know I probably would have done something if I was in the line-up, or addressed it for sure but we'll definitely remember it and see what happens next game."

This is definitely going to be an interesting situation. However, Xhekaj has been struggling to get into the Montreal Canadiens lineup as of late. The next time the Rangers play the Canadiens, perhaps Martin St. Louis will give Xhekaj the start, knowing that retribution must be done.
