Fleury Reaches Patrick Roy, Tying for 2nd Most Wins in Goalie History

With his 551st win, Fleury inches closer to making history, aiming to surpass Patrick Roy and set his sights on the top spot held by Martin Brodeur with 691 wins.

In the midst of the win, Fleury showcased his skill with an incredible save, drawing admiration:

On a night where Marc-Andre Fleury tied Patrick Roy for second all-time in goalie wins with No. 551, he's still pulling off stuff like this.

Just incredible. 🌸

Fleury, visibly delighted, reacted to the historic win. Having grown up in Quebec, he reminisced about watching Patrick Roy excel at his craft as a kid and now finds himself sharing the ranks with one of the greatest goalies of all time.

Reflecting on the achievement, Fleury couldn't help but acknowledge his past and present teammates:

"One more would be good," Fleury remarked with a broad smile and a laugh. "It's an honor to be mentioned in the same sentence as him, right? One of my idols growing up."

"I've been very fortunate to play with many great teammates and many great teams throughout my career," Fleury continued. "Staff that has helped me stay healthy and mobile and flexible helped to make it all the way here."

"It's pretty cool."
