The worst has been confirmed for Brad Marchand after leaving game 3
The Bruins seem set for a 2-1 series deficit as they trail the Florida Panthers 4-2 late in tonight's game.
More troubling, though, is that Brad Marchand had to exit the game earlier.
With the Bruins struggling in what might be their poorest playoff performance in recent years, managing only 11 shots on goal deep into the third period, the bigger worry now is Marchand's condition.
UPDATE: Brad Marchand (upper-body) is unlikely to return to tonight's game.
During the third period, the team reported that Marchand suffered an upper-body injury and was unlikely to return to the game, though they didn't entirely rule out his return.
The injury may have occurred during a collision with Sam Bennett along the boards.
The Bruins have announced Brad Marchand is unlikely to return to the game with an upper body injury.
Marchand played the rest of the first and second after taking this hit from Bennett
Despite a late rally with two goals in the third period, the Bruins are likely too far behind to claw back a win in this game. Fans will be eager to see how this affects the team's performance in the remainder of the series.
