Jeremy Swayman reveals the reason the Bruins don't want to pay him

Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins are in a heated negotiation that has been going nowhere fast.
In fact, there are now rumors that Swaman could demand a trade. Although this has yet to happen, we are not far off from getting there. The two sides are still very far apart. Moreover, there appears to be some resentment from the arbitration process that took place back in 2023.
In the new Faceoff series for Amazon Prime, Swayman actually spoke about what went down with the Bruins. As you are about to hear, it got pretty ugly at times. In fact, the Bruins told him to his face that he was not worthy of a massive contract and that they had a whole lot of concerns about his abilities.
"Hearing you're not worthy of what you think you're worthy of, that was hard to hear," Swayman said. "You don't forget what was said. I wrote them down and looked at them the other day, and I had a couple of checkmarks. My biggest knock was how I wasn't trustworthy in playoffs. Check."
Overall, a lot has changed over the past year. However, it seems like the Bruins are using the same tactics in the negotiation. Analysts have theorized that the Bruins don't actually believe in Swayman all that much. Based on these comments, it seems like there may be truth to that.
