The NHL is abuzz with activity as we edge closer to the trade deadline, making today, March 7th, a pivotal moment for teams looking to adjust their rosters for a playoff push.

This is the last chance for players to be placed on waivers and still be eligible to participate in the playoffs with any team that might claim them.

Chris Johnston reports that seven players are on today's waiver list, destined for assignment to the American Hockey League if they clear waivers on Thursday, March 8th.

"Placed on NHL waivers today: Brendan Lemieux (CAR), Antti Raanta (CAR), Jordan Oesterle (CGY), Boris Katchouk (CHI), Evan Cormier (FLA), William Lagesson (TOR) and Tobias Bjornfot (VGK)."

Meanwhile, the waiver wire also sees some action from the Nashville Predators, who have snagged Jaret Anderson-Dolan off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings. In contrast, Ryan Johansen (Philadelphia), Jacob Moverare (Los Angeles), and Will Lockwood (Florida) found no takers and have cleared waivers.

"Nashville claims Jaret Anderson-Dolan off waivers from Los Angeles.

Ryan Johansen (PHI) clears waivers and will be assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley.

Will Lockwood (FLA) and Jacob Moverare (LA) also clear waivers."

Players who clear waivers by 2 p.m. ET on Friday will join their respective AHL teams, marking the final roster adjustments before the playoff eligibility deadline.
