Sad news is coming out of the hockey world today as the University of Oregon announced that their goaltender Henry Bradford passed away at the age of 22.

His passing took place on Friday night, and the news was announced on Sunday afternoon. The team noted just how great of a teammate "Hank" was and how he was absolutely beloved by the program. This is a truly awful story, especially when you consider how Bradford was so young.

At this time, the cause of death has yet to be revealed. However, that is the last thing on a lot of people's minds right now. We cannot imagine what the Oregon Ducks hockey team must be feeling right now.

"We are heartbroken to share that our Senior goaltender, Henry ''Hank'' Bradford unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 20th 2024. Hank was an incredibly kind and thoughtful man with a contagious laugh and an amazing sense of humor. As great a goalie as he was, Hank was an even better human. He was the perfect example of treating people how you want to be treated, never missing an opportunity to call someone "sir or ma'am."

Hank, your mustache and last second splits will go down in Oregon hockey history forever. We'll miss you #1."

Our heart goes out to Bradford's family, friends, and teammates during this difficult time. We cannot begin to fathom what they must be going through right now. We hope they are able to get support throughout the grieving process.
