Johnny Gaudreau's wife reveals heartbreaking personal news during his funeral

Johnny's wife Meredith was in attendance and she gave a beautiful eulogy to her husband. During the eulogy, Meredith made the heartbreaking announcement that she is currently pregnant with their third child. Previously, it was unknown that Meredith was pregnant. What was known was that Matthew's wife Madeline was pregnant with their first child, due in December.

This is absolutely heartbreaking as three children must now grow up without a father due to the actions of a drunk driver. It is unconscionable that something like this happened, and many are hoping for justice.

However, today was simply about the lives of Johnny and Matthew. Numerous NHL stars were in attendance today, and it was beautiful to see. During the eulogy for Johnny Hockey, Meredith spoke on players like Sean Monahan, and how Gaudreau loved him dearly. It was an absolutely heartbreaking moment that left many hockey fans in tears.

The ceremony was another example of just how beloved the Gaudreaus were. Throughout the last couple of weeks, they have received numerous tributes, and that won't be stopping anytime soon. You can't help but be absolutely gutted by this senseless loss of life.

Our heart goes out to Meredith and the rest of the Gaudreau family during this incredibly difficult time. We hope everyone is able to find peace and comfort through all of this.
