The five players accused and charged of sexual assault at the 2018 World Junior Championships were given a pass from pre-trial motions this past week.

This means that the players can go ahead and work and train abroad if they so choose. However, for Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart, things have become a lot more difficult. According to Rick Westhead, Carter recently attempted to go into the United States but was stopped at the border due to his charges.
He is now trying to move from Alberta to Tennessee and has even hired an immigration lawyer to make that happen. However, there is no guarantee that he will be able to win his case and make a move successful.
"Former Flyers goalie Carter Hart's affidavit says he is moving from Alberta to Tennessee to work out full time and said he has hired an immigration lawyer because he has been refused entry to the U.S. after being charged."

This is most certainly a rock bottom moment for Hart. As for some of the other players involved, they have gone to play hockey in Russia. Meanwhile, Alex Formenton is now working a construction job to make ends meet.
