In last night's matchup with the New York Rangers visiting the Seattle Kraken, some lighting issues in Climate Pledge Arena brought back some old accusations of the Rangers cheating in their home arena.
In one end of Seattle's arena last night, where the Rangers goaltender would have played two periods, the lighting was poor enough that the referees elected to have the goaltenders change nets in 10 minute intervals to keep the game fair.
This incident got fans on social media bringing up a similar situation that happened at Madison Square Garden last year.
Rangers star Artemi Panarin commented in a joking manner last night about the lighting situation, showing off his successful two-goal night as well.
"For me, I want it darker, so it's harder for goalies. That's why I scored two." - Panarin
