Hockey, as we all know, is a contact sport. However, men's league games are largely expected to be safe and violence-free. That wasn't the case during a recent game in the Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL) in Toronto. This week, a very dangerous brawl broke out during a game, with multiple players using their sticks as weapons against one another. Have a look:

The beginning of the altercation seems to stem from an incident where a player in a teal jersey approaches the opposition's bench to deliver a couple of hacks on a player that appears to be making his way off the bench. This, of course, prompts a retaliation from a nearby teammate.

The altercation doesn't take long to escalate, with a number of players hacking and slashing until their sticks actually break on their opponents. Punches began to fly as well and the poor officials were left to just watch the mayhem unfold.

As a result of this intense brawl, multiple bans were believed to be handed out. The police were not called and there were no serious injuries reported as a result, miraculously.
