Detroit Red Wings Confirm Star Forward Will Be Sidelined Due To Injury
The Detroit Red Wings are hitting a rough patch just when they could least afford it, with the NHL trade deadline looming.
In a recent update, head coach Derek Lalonde broke the news that Dylan Larkin, one of the team's top forwards, is on the injury list with a lower-body issue. Larkin is expected to miss at least two weeks of action.
This setback came during a recent clash with the Florida Panthers, though Lalonde kept the specifics of Larkin's injury under wraps.
In light of Larkin's absence, the Red Wings are reshuffling their lines. Joe Veleno will now join forces with Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane, a move that signifies the team's strategy to fill the gap internally.
As of now, Detroit has decided against bringing up any players from their roster to take Larkin's place.
