Scary Situation As Detroit Red Wings Player Takes Slap Shot To The Head
The Detroit Red Wings are having a tough night against their divisional rivals, the Buffalo Sabres.
With both teams vying for a spot in the standings, tonight's game is crucial, but so far, the Red Wings find themselves on the back foot, trailing 4-1 at the first intermission after being outplayed by the Sabres in the first period.
To add to Detroit's woes, early in the second period, forward
Joe Veleno was struck on the side of the head by an accidental slap shot from
Connor Clifton.
Despite the intensity of the game, Clifton showed great sportsmanship by checking on Veleno and giving him an encouraging tap with his stick, ensuring he was okay after such a scary moment.
It's always alarming to witness a player take a hard shot to the head, and we're all hoping that Veleno can shake it off without any serious injury.
