Adding to that excitement, they've secured Frank Nazar, a standout talent from the University of Michigan, on a three-year entry-level contract.
Last season, Nazar proved to be one of college hockey's brightest stars, netting 17 goals and racking up 41 points over 41 games. His performance is all the more notable considering an injury the previous year limited him to just 13 appearances.
Nazar also shone on the international stage at the World Junior Championships, where he contributed eight assists in seven games, helping Team USA clinch the gold medal.
Known for his sharp playmaking skills, Nazar, picked 13th overall in the 2022 draft, might soon find himself playing alongside Bedard. If they click, it could be the beginning of a dynamic partnership for the Blackhawks.
With only a few games left in the season, the Blackhawks plan to give Nazar some time on the ice, testing his skills against the league's top competition. It's an exciting preview of what's to come for Chicago's hockey fans.
