Sean Higgins was back in court on Friday to find out his fate in the killing of Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau.

Ultimately, Higgins was denied bail and will have to remain in jail for quite some time. According to video footage from the court, Higgins was seen crying after he was denied bail.

Having said that, the biggest revelation that was made involved none other than his blood-alcohol level at the time of his arrest. According to Global News, his level was at .087 which is above the legal limit in New Jersey of .08. Needless to say, the evidence is already stacking up against the suspect.

Higgins is facing multiple counts of driving under the influence and death by auto. He could face a maximum of 20 years in prison if he is convicted. Only time will tell how the court proceedings play out.

Our heart goes out to the entire Gaudreau family following this horrible tragedy. We hope and pray that everyone affected is able to find peace and comfort. The NHL community has certainly stepped up to show support.
