60 players placed on waivers ahead of the NHL regular season

With NHL teams looking to secure their rosters ahead of the NHL season, it should come as no surprise that numerous teams are putting players on waivers.

Throughout the last few weeks, we have seen dozens of players get put on waivers. However, it would appear as though that number is going way up. In a new tweet from Elliotte Friedman, a total of 60 players were placed on waivers, which is a truly staggering number.

Now, it will be interesting to see which of these players ultimately clear and go down to the minors, or end up going somewhere else altogether. This is a stressful time for players around the league and it's always nerve-wracking to know whether or not you're on one of these lists. Hopefully, everyone here finds their stride.
