During a playoff series against the Boston Bruins, Mitch Marner was absolutely awful. He wasn't going after loose pucks and he was playing some of the worst hockey of his career. As a result, Bissonnette called Marner "pathetic" in a clip that has since gone viral and has probably motivated Marner quite a bit.
Having said all of that, it would appear as though Bissonnette has changed course on Marner. In a new episode of "Spittin Chiclets," Bissonnette argues that Marner is going to win the Selke trophy. Moreover, he goes one step further and assets that Marner could realistically go out and win the Art Ross Trophy for scoring the most points.
This is quite the prediction, and there is no telling whether or not this is going to actually materialize. However, Marner is in a contract year, so there will be motivation for him to go out and have a spectacular year.
